The first day of May is observed as May Day all over the world. This day is observed to commemorate the historic struggle of working people. Today all the workers enjoy minimum wage, safety in workplace and eight-hour workday. These are the outcome to the struggle of these workers. The day has an eventful historical background. The workers of Chicago protested against injustice and exploitation in 1886. Then the workers had to work 14 hours or more in a day. Even they had no any job security too. On May 3, in 1886, they brought out a rally to realize their demands and police fired into the rally. As a result, at least one worker was killed and five or six others were wounded seriously. Every year this day is observed in Bangladesh with profound respect and dignity. The workers of different workplaces bring out rally on this day. They bear placard and wear special dress. After the rally, some workers deliver speech on the history and significance of the day. However, this day is very important. Now workers of all over the world enjoy job security, a minimum wage and an eight-hour working time. These facilities are the outcome of sacrifice of the workers of Chicago. I respect their heroic struggle.

Common leisure pursuits of the young and the old in Bangladesh

The young and the old are different in nature and temperament only because of the difference of age.The are pole apart.So the leisure of the young and the old in Bangladesh are different.In Bangladesh we see that the young people like to pass their leisure time trough games and sports.They visit the place of historical interest ,go on picnic,perform different cultural activities.They also spend their leisure by reading books,watching TV and listening music.Again they are busy with their hobbies during leisure.Nowadays  they are found busy with computer.The old people spend their leisure time by reading books,newspapers and magazines.They also play at cards and chess.Some time they're seen walking together in the morning. Most of them go back to the past,remember the past memories and chew the end.

Spring is the king of seasons. It comes at the end of the cold winter. Then
gentle breeze begins to blow from the south. The weather is mild and pleasant. Trees and plants put on new leaves. Nature looks fresh and gray. Flowers bloom, bees hum and butterflies are on their wings. Cuckoos come back and sing sweet songs. Other birds also sing merrily. Spring is the best season of the year.

Mr. S.Hoque is our class teacher. He is my favourite teacher. He teaches us English. He knows the modern method of teaching. Every man has a hobby. It removes monotony of life. I have a hobby of my
own. My hobby is gardening. I spend my leisure time in my garden. In my garden, there are a large variety of flower-plants. Early in the morning, I go to my garden. I loose the soil with spade. I weed out the grass and water the plants. Each new bud and each new flower delights me most. I find pleasure in doing manual labour in my garden. Many kinds of flowers grow in my garden. The sweet smells of the flowers give me pleasure. I am very fond of my garden. I like it most.

My Home - Paragraph
My home is in the village of Supmari under Sherpur district. It is situated on one acre of land. There are a dwelling houses consisting of five rooms. One of them is used as drawing room, the others are used as bedrooms. My reading room is a separate room, which is made of tin. The house has a flower garden. There is also a big kitchen garden. There is a pond outside the house. The pond has a number of fishes. My house is nice. It is nicer than any other place. I like my house very much.
