Mosque is a religions place where Muslims gather to say their prayer. It is also called the house of Allah. In the eyei of Muslims it is a holy place. muslims in to mosque to say their prayer in jamat. The man who leads the jamat is called Imam. The Imam sometimes discuss Islamic problems and topics. 
Muslims say their Jumma prayer in the Mosque every Friday. Them the gathering of the followers becomes large. In the beginning of jumma.
The Imam recities the Khutba which deals with many problems and solutions of our life. So in this sense a mosque may be called a place of learning. 
We may say prayer in the room but saying prayer in the mosque is 27 times more rewarding than prayer at home. The first mosque of the world was built in Makka. The greatest mosque of the world is in Makka which is known as 'Kaaba Ghar'.
